Toyota Sequoia is a full-sized SUV a powerful V8 engine

The 2011 Toyota Sequoia is a full-sized SUV equipped with a powerful V8 engine that makes it a fast vehicle for its size that comfortably handles off-road riding as well as it does the highway. A tight turning radius, 10 inches of ground clearance and an independent rear suspension system enable the vehicle to equally manage all terrain conditions, the urban expressway and the local parking lot. The Platinum model is the top of the line Toyota Sequoia and has adaptive shock absorbers, front seats that can be both heated and cooled, second row captain’s chairs that can also be heated, rear seats that are power-folding and reclining, and a touchscreen navigation system.

Two options packages are offered for the SR5 model. These include a Sports package which allows for seating of seven passengers, has fog lights, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a power driver seat and a Premium package that has seating for eight with a third row of seats and provides leather upholstery, and front row seats that are heated.

The engine that is standard for the Toyota Sequoia is a 4.6 liter dual overhead cam 32-valve V8 that can produce 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque. A 5.7 liter dual overhead cam 32-valve V8 that can produce 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque is standard on the Limited and Platinum models. A six-speed automatic is standard with both engines with the option of two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

Fuel economy for the Toyota Sequoia primarily depends on the engine with the 4.6 liter V8 rated at 14 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg combined. The rating for the 5.7-liter V8 is rated at 14 mpg in the city, 18 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg combined. Ratings are 1 mpg less for four-wheel drive models. The vehicle can tow up to 7,400 pounds when properly equipped.

The interior of the Toyota Sequoia is ergonomically designed with many user-friendly conveniences and lots of places for storage. Folding down the second and third row seats provides a cargo capacity of 121 cubic feet.

The 2011 Toyota Sequoia provides a pleasant driving experience with engines that provide abundant power for passing maneuvers and great highway speeds. The ride is comfortable and smooth in the base SR5 model and becomes even more so and even extremely plush in the high end Platinum model.
